Oliver needed a swim. It was like that nagging feeling in the back of your head, the headache even you get when someone obnoxiously mutters in your ear for hours on end. He wasn't one to even get irritated, but he couldn't help but need a release sometimes. Oliver didn't need anyone to be happy, in fact he's extremely content to be on his own. He's actually mainly on his own, with a few friends that he has he's content, but the majority of this school thought him odd. Ollie knew he was. He hates magic. It's the root of all evils, and honestly, a rather amazing cop-out for many. Could they really not just do the dishes themselves? Of course not. Naturally since they have it, they have to use it. Oliver is lazy, he understands that fact, but many times is almost a cover. The weirder he acts, the more alienated he is, the less people care to discover him. He doesn't need to talk about his past, his feelings, or anything else quite so grotesque. Instead, he is there for who needs him. A wierdly mutated wallflower is actually quite an accurate description of the boy. He felt emotion more deeply than he'd ever let on, and he had no intention of letting anyone know. Love is an idiotic notion that he hopes to never need to partake in.
Oliver waded into the cold waters. His body shuddering in the cold water and closed his eyes, breathing in a shaky breath before pushing off the soft ground and starting his stroke. Each breath he took, he pushed farther and farther until he needed another one. He wasn't about to waste them, and was competitive enough to want to know how far he could push it before he needed a breath, before he couldn't take it anymore, until his lungs screamed out against him. He thought of everything, his mum, the assignments that he just didn't do, and the future he hoped to posess sometimes. Would anyone understand him truly? The friends he has knows only the goofy side of him. he wasn't going to change that, and they don't seem to know that there's anything else. He swam for what seemed like hours, and perhaps was for all Olliepop cared. Looking over he saw the boathouse and swam in, pushing himself onto the dock and grabbing a towel he stored there. He dried his curly hair but looked around curiously at a sudden sound. "Come out, come out whoever you aree?" He called out lightly, curious if it were an attacker, not that Ollie could even defend himself, dueling wasn't his strong suit, but suppose he could heal himself after.

* I was so bored...that I found an OUTFIT. XD People were such nagging little twits. At least, in this moment, everyone was considered a "nagging little twit." There is only so much a person can take and Ana was at her breaking point. Her mum suggested that she help tutor younger students to keep up the Dolohov name. Dolohov's weren't known for being nice or any kind of pleasant adjective. In fact, most people were weary of them because of the people they were connected to. "Whatever," Ana thought to herself. After having to repeat herself one hundred times to some Gryffindor, she closed her books and stalked off towards the library doors to leave. She decided that some comfortable clothes and fresh air were calling her name.
Ana's idea of "comfortable clothes" was definitely much different than an average persons. Usually it involved wearing heels; something she grew to like. But, today was not going to be one of those days. In fact, Anastasiya was sure that if she walked past a group of her friends, they wouldn't even recognize her. Not because she looked like a different person, but she was dressed down so much that it was shocking. Ana had to admit, this was a nice little change of pace. Wandering the crowded hallways, she felt immediate relief when she stepped outside. It was like the clouds parted and birds started chirping...not really, but that's how she saw it. After wandering around the grounds for a bit, she noticed a figure in the water down by the boat house. Obviously, this struck her as odd, seeing as it wasn't exactly warm outside- the water had to be freezing. Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, she dropped her arms to her side, making her way down to the edge of the lake.
Now, if she had known it was a shirtless Oliver Elis, she might not have walked all the way down here. He was attractive. Obviously. Not that she had some kind of overwhelming feeling about him, but the mere fact that a muggleborn had caught her attention...that was irritating. And it wasn't something that she was about to admit. Not outloud or to herself anymore. Pursing her lips, she hesitated at the entrance of the boat house, ready to turn around and walk back to the castle. However, Oliver must've heard the boards creek under her small feet. "Come out, come out whoever you are?" Wonderful. Letting out a small sigh, she crossed her arms over her chest, walking over to where he was...shirtless. "STOP IT, ANA. STOP," she chided herself mentally. "Isn't that some kind of muggle game? Hmm." she asked, not really expecting an answer. "And Isn't it a little cold to be swimming, sir?" She'd be complaining the entire time if she had to get in that lake right now. Nonetheless, Oliver Elis was an odd character. Honestly. The fact that he went swimming didn't even surprise her. Still, she asked curiously, wondering idly why he decided to do so. "I'm cold just looking at you." she added absently, glancing at him.

He waited, drying off his torso and arms, looking around for the sound again until he heard it. Ah, the beautiful girl of the Ravenclaw kind. Ana Dolohov was probably the last person he would ever think to find here, nor to ever speak to, he can only be in one of their presences so long before the other party decides he's lived long enough. He raised an eyebrow at her. The girl was flawless in looks, except the way she always seemed so uptight. Heels? Everyday? She must have a pair up her ass. He crossed his arms over his chest and looked at her curiously, why would she be at the boathouse in the late hours of the night? "Is it?" He then asked about the mention of a muggle game from her lips, returning his attention to his towel. "Is sneaking up on people a Magical one?" He smirked slightly, still a bit curious about her late-night charades. He had to admit, she looked good, it wasn't her usual attire, she looked a bit more natural, less pedestal type- which was actually very refreshing. He stretched his arms, tight after the swim and looked at her once again, leaning against one of the wooden pillars.
Was it? What an interesting thought. "Cold?" He asked, considering this. "Probably a bit, doesn't matter so much to a swimmer though. We're used to it- you see." He said actually fairly normally, honestly- something that surprised him greatly. He grinned slightly at her words and went over to his piles of clothes and grabbed his jacket, gently settling it on her shoulders, "That better, Princess?" He ran a hand through his hair and looked out across the water, a smile playing on his lips before looking back at the notably crazy girl. "What does bring you out here? I take it you aren't much a swimmer." He teased lightly, taking his spot back on that pillar, eyeing her slightly, subtly.

*Short posts, ftw! I had to reply. xD Ana tried not to look as Oliver dried off, her eyes currently looking at anything but him. It was probably for the best, anyway. It was a rare occasion that Ana would be caught talking to a Hufflepuff. Not that she thought all of them were bad, but most of them were considered highly annoying in her book. The only thing that really annoyed her about Oliver is that she could actually talk to him civilly. Pursing her lips, she heard him respond about her muggle comment. "I thought it was, I don't know." In fact, she didn't know much about the muggle world at all. Her parents never brought anything up around her and she had never really had any muggleborn or halfblood "friends" before. Alas, she was forced to take Muggle Studies this year, which completely opened up her eyes to another world. Hearing his next comment, she smirked. "I don't know if I'd consider this sneaking up on you. But...sneaking around could be considered an art form for me." Ana crossed her arms lightly, shifting her weight to her other leg.
Yes, it was chilly out. Was he numb right now? Probably. "So, you swim competitively? Back at home, I mean." Ana paused, surprised she was asking about him. "Anyway. You're lucky the mermaids left you alone. They're mean little things." Ana let her eyes fall to her feet, only looking back up when she saw him standing in front of her- placing his jacket over her shoulders. Stunned was probably a good adjective to describe how she was feeling at that moment. "That better, Princess?" Gaping wasn't lady-like, even though that's exactly what she had done just moments before. "Much...thank you." Instead, she half-smiled at the guy standing across from her, intrigued. "I, um, wanted to get some fresh air. I've been tutoring students all evening, I was ready curse someone. But once I started walking, I spotted someone in the lake and thought I'd check it out." She grinned slightly, looking out over the water. "It happened to be you." Ana leaned against the wall of the boathouse, gently pulling her hair out from under his jacket. "But, not the kind of swimming you do. I don't hate it...I just don't ever get the opportunity to do so." She replied, letting her eyes fall on him once more. "Why'd you come out here tonight? It was hard not to talk to this guy. That wasn't necessarily a good thing for Anastasiya. "And why haven't you put any of your clothes back on? It's distracting." Oops.

He listened intently at her words. She was rather interesting, truth be told- he wondered how she hadn't hexed him into oblivion yet, it's what a lot of people called a "hobby", but Oliver tried not to think about people like that. Nobody is their family, they may contain the same genes but never are they the same person, and he wouldn't judge someone because of that. In fact, he rarely judged people at all. It wasn't a good thing, and it took far too much effort, unless these people actually interested him, which was an alarming idea as it is. Oliver was an...odd friend to have. He really hated magic, he's so private, though many just think him uncommonly freakish because of his obviously irritating behavior. He weeded out people due to his obnoxious way of making conversations, he would rather swim over the shallows than dive into the deep about anyone, in fear they would do the same. It was his head, he didn't want people inside it, not even himself most of the time. "Ah, a stalker, then," he mused, smiling at her, easily teasing the girl who thought it would be interesting talking to the well-known freakshow of hufflepuff. "I'm honoured your using your quite disturbing talents on little old me."
He laughed loudly upon hearing her comment. and looked away, grinning brightly. "Competitively?" He snorted, "Honestly, I've never been one for the competitive spirit, you see." Oliver was probably the last person on earth that would be a competitor. He didn't mean to be rude by his laughter, but the idea actually was very hilarious. "Nah, the mermaids leave me alone, it's the grindelows, only one or two run ins with 'em." He put the jacket over her shoulders and was nonchalant about her surprise, he tended to do that- people expect things of him, and he often proved them wrong, completely unaware that he was doing so. He shrugged off her "thank you", feeling awkward that she even said anything, the last thing he'd want is being recognized or honored for doing something that was nice. It's weird, like being complimented. Yes, he knew he looked in a certain way, but the girls that did that whole "bicep" thing freaked him out. He listened to her prior events this evening and smiled slightly, "What was it you were tutoring the kid?" He was curious that this girl was a tutor. "Swimming doesn't take too long." He shrugged, figuring she could swim anytime, the water really wasn't that cold- or was he just completely insane? If he was- well, he'd be pretty damn happy about it. He was considering answering why he'd been out and about this fine night, when her next question came out and he grinned. "It bothers you, Princess? Usually people don't mind so much." He remarked, still not moving to put his shirt on.

*Short posts, ftw! I had to reply. xD Okay, so maybe Olive Elis wasn't such a weird guy. Well, as much as she thought before. He was quirky, no doubt, but he was himself...and that was refreshing. Anyone (except Purebloods, obviously) would say that Ana was uptight. It's just how she was raised to act...like she was better than everyone else. At times, she didn't even mean to come off that way, but it's not like she'd notice it. When she was around Oliver, she felt like she could relax more. It was a nice change. However, he didn't call her "princess" for nothing. Some habits die hard. Hearing his words made her blush, though. Slightly. "I'm not a stalker. I'm a perfect cross between a Slytherin and a Ravenclaw. I'm cunning." Duh. "But you're welcome. Embrace it." she smirked. She could be funny when she wanted to. Not that she was just hilarious or anything. "I thought someone was out here drowning or something. I was going to be their heroine." She grinned, placing her hand on her hip.
When he started laughing, well, it took her off guard. She didn't know whether to be offended or to just continue to stare at him with an arched eyebrow. "I'm glad that was an amusing question for you." She observed him, noting that he probably wasn't making fun. "But I suppose I see that. I'm quite the opposite. I always want to beat my brothers into the ground." she smirked. "Both literally and figuratively. They're real gits, you know." Actually, she didn't know if he knew that, but she could only imagine. But conversation had returned to her comment about the merpeople. Muggles would be shocked if they actually new what the creatures looked like. "Grindelows? Yeah, they're probably worse. I wouldn't know. I haven't actually swam in the lake before." she added absently, shrugging. But I'd totally get in with you looking like that. Silence passed after her put her jacket on her shoulders. She let it settle, not wanting to be the first to break it. Alas, keeping her mouth shut just wasn't something she could do. "What? Oh. Arithmancy...but I felt like I was speaking to a wall. Shame, too. I actually like that class." She wrinkled her nose just thinking about the annoying kid from earlier. Honestly. Some of them were hopeless. Oh, man. Her comment about him being shirtless. It would come back to haunt her, she was sure. "I wouldn't say it bothers me in a bad way. Shit. I mean...I don't know what I mean. If you're comfortable." If you're comfortable?! What does that even mean? " So...you're not putting it back on?"

He blinked at her statement. "And I'm practically perfect in everyway," He quoted, doubted she'd get the reference. "But I still don't see how that doesn't make you a stalker, nonetheless." Oliver replied, still maintaining the idea of giving her a hard time. He enjoyed the company of this girl, he hoped he wouldn't get bored too fast. Then again, there always seemed to be more to everyone, and he wasn't about to dismiss that. He heard her subtle teasing and smiled, ah- a breakthrough, he thought grinning a bit broader. "My Hero," He mused, laughing gently. Oliver hasn't needed saving since he could remember, he isn't one that cares what happens to him, and he isn't one to pick a fight- in fact, he hasn't fought since he could remember. He just let's things roll, the only person he's every even considered fighting for is his mother, but only because she couldn't take care of herself. "But, you see- I somehow doubt you would even touch the water, even if I was drowning." He challenged lightheartedly, remembering her mixture of feelings about the cold.
To be honest, if it weren't for the sometimes torment of her brothers, he would have no clue who the hell her family was. But they have this habit of sticking their noses up and telling Oliver exactly what it meant to be a "mudblood", and Oliver would remark how he enjoyed rolling in the mud and that they should try it sometime, might be a holiday from having their heads quite far up their buttocks. He appeared to think hard about this, "Nah, I don't think I've heard of them." Oliver responded and stretched his arms again, feeling his back tight from the swim. "you've never swam in the lake? What is there better at this school?" He mused aloud, grinning cheekily. Her statement about tutoring made him shift his weight slightly and he ran a hand through his hair. Oliver wasn't good at magic, in fact, the only thing he could do was heal- and really that's all he wanted to. He remembered skipping every tutoring appointment, "Something to be said of him, though- actually going. I wouldn't waste my time." He commented nonchalantly. This girl, of them all, actually liked him? Or at least was some how affected by him? He couldn't believe it. Oliver Elis attracted the ravenclaw girl? Once again the bewilderment was entirely too amusing. "I'm actually quite enjoying watching you splutter." He remarked, surprised by her actions. While Oliver was used to certain girls throwing themselves at him, he never figured this girl would even consider being one of them. Perhaps his ego was getting the best of him, but he couldn't help it. She was damn fine.

*Short posts, ftw! I had to reply. xD Ana shrugged, she couldn't tell if he was being serious or not. At least for the first comment. "Think what you want, but I wasn't stalking. Anyway, how would I have known it was even you?" How had this conversation even gotten to this point? All she wanted to do was see who at the lake, turn around, and leave. That was the plan. However, short conversations didn't seem likely with Oliver. She had a feeling that she could probably talk to him about anything. Not that she was planning on that, but it seemed that way. At least, that would be easier if he was clothed. Because right now, her mind wanted to wander. Now, Ana wouldn't say she was one of those people that would readily help someone. Maybe those close to her, but in the past, bullying wasn't above her. Incidents no one probably knew about, but, still. When he said that she wouldn't get in the water to help him, she was slightly offended. Ana knew he wasn't being completely serious, but something about the statement made her a little unnerved. "Are you kidding? It could be snowing right, now- If you were drowning, I would have jumped in without hesitation." she said, crossing her arms lightly, looking away from him. Hmm.
Ana had hoped that he really didn't know who her brothers were. They were terrors and pretty much everything they did was some kind of evil. She loved them, knowing they'd never hurt her, but what they did to others...she didn't agree with it. She had been on the receiving end of some nasty curses, so she could only imagine how the people they tormented felt. "...That's probably a good thing." She didn't want to push the subject, it wasn't one she cared to talk about. Swimming in the lake? That was better. "There's all kinds of things to do here...I just never got to swim. And I didn't want to swim alone- my friends were never interested." she grinned slightly. Her friends were snobs. Of course, they didn't see the point in her tutoring, either. Surprise. She laughed lightly at his comment, though. "Well, I don't think he comes to study. He just stares at me and 'listens' to me talk. It's quite irritating...and funny. Mostly irritating, though." she grinned. But her grin faded when he said he liked seeing her splutter. See, her being attracted to him was completely illogical. It didn't make sense. But seeing him standing there...it was like she had opened her eyes for the first time. And she didn't want to look away, but she was going to make herself...by turning away from him. "Well, I'm glad this is amusing for you." She turned back around, motioning to his abs with her hand. "How...?" This was going well. "You just need to cover up. Or something." she bit her lip, meeting his eyes with hers. "You can even have your jacket back," she shrugged it off, draping it over her arm. "It's suddenly not cold anymore." And she wanted to go hide in a corner somewhere.
