what could be said about mr. potter? he is what people could consider as the practical joker. he loves to joke around with his friends, the marauders. the marauders consist of himself (prongs), peter pettigrew (wormtail), sirius black (padfoot), and remus lupin (moony). the four friends have been best friends since the start of their first year. someone that has always been his target to pick on, would be severus (snivellus) snape. while, the practical joker, he does use hexes a bit over the top. especially on severus snape. his immaturity is something that has gained him a status of being quite popular at hogwarts. he manages to impress many people in the halls of the castle just by his personality. you could say he is quite the charmer. despite being viewed as a charmer, he can't manage to impress one girl. it's clear to some who she may be though he has always had eyes on her. it just started last year that he began to want to impress her. in terms of getting her attention rather than an occasional roll of her green eyes. quidditch is one of his favorite things in the world, meaning you will hear him talk about it nonstop. he messes up his hair after each quidditch match, making it look as if he just got done playing more than one game. along with his features, he has started wearing glasses since his eye sight has gotten worst since last year. however, his features hardly leave an impression on people. it's his personality of being the immature charmer of gryffindor. deep down though, he is a good person who will perhaps eventually grow up and learn to stop taking things so lightly.

positive relations:

i'd imagine the following groups of people to be in this category - marauders, supporters of muggleborns/muggles/halfbloods, any magical race (remember he is friends with remus, so no doubt he'd accept more furriness or fangs in his life), gryffindors, ravenclaws, hufflepuffs, most likely the transfiguration professor due to his talents in the subject, and anyone else you can think of.

romantic relations:

i'd imagine that he would've had a girlfriend or two in the past, but nothing serious. remember, he isn't a serious guy and most likely hasn't kept a girlfriend for too long. his final is obviously taken.

<3 I just love these two. AND I'M SO HAPPY WE'RE RP'ING TOGETHER AGAIN! Anyway, so, these two both know that they have feelings toward each other. Thing is, James isn't really mature enough yet for Lily to actually show him- which is why she's been holding off xD But the constantly bicker and have little arguments, but not to really upset or be mean to one another. I guess some kind of revelation would have to happen in order for them to talk about their feelings for each other. Maybe the whole 'mudblood' incident she goes through? Idk. That'd probably upset her a lot. But aside from all of this, she's still close friends with him and his gang. Especially since they seem to kind of gravitate towards each over <3 add/subtract <3

gilderoy obviously is a bit stupid and lacks common sense, but he doesn't really mean any harm to anyone. he just wants some respect and a bit of admiration, something that the marauders wouldn't be short of in this era. so perhaps he both admires and resents them, including james, for having the status he not-so secretly craves? i imagine james might think this fame-obsessed smaller child a little weird? and in the future, james' kid totally hates lockhart for being... just gilderoy lockhart. i'd imagine that the two could run into each other one time in the forbidden forest and have a duel? obviously nothing too extreme with dark magic since they are on the grounds of the school. nevertheless there is spells that are not unforgivable that she could use against him. i doubt that she would pass up the opportunity to duel james potter alone in the forbidden forest. he is one to adventure into the forest, so perhaps she follows him one night? also, their hate would be mutual. james' reason for hating her would be the fact that she is quite ruthless, rude, snobby, etc. in his opinion.

JAMES & CHRISTINE
they could be good friends, perhaps if she shares a common interest in quidditch. they could go practice quidditch in the courtyard or something, resulting in funny results. that is if she is a bad flier or if he messes her up on purpose. their friendship would probably stay as just good friends due to the fact that they have a year on each other, meaning she leaves the school the following year.

JAMES & RITA
if rita was to take pictures of james and lily, trying to show it in a school paper perhaps? then yes, rita would be very annoying to james. i'd see rita having her own paper in the school, spreading rumors since she tried doing it as an adult to his son, harry with hermione. their relationship would be one of annoyance.

JAMES & LUCRITA
if she is a bit whiny, he may find a little annoyance for her. however, given her house and the fact that he probably whines at times too (remember he is immature sometimes), they could get along. i'd say average friends for these two.

JAMES & BARTY
another guy after lily, eh? considering snape would probably be following barty around, i don't see the two getting along that well. or maybe they do. they could get along given james is a pureblood, but he wouldn't be the type to hang out with barty constantly. there is probably a hidden respect between the two. that'll obviously change when schooling ends though. they probably could have met when they were kids given barty's father's status. i'd say that they would get along maybe only when no one else is around. other than that, enemies who are after the same girl. ideas? haha.

JAMES & GIDEON
there would be no bad blood between the two given the fact that both are in gryffindor. if gideon and lily are best friends or something along those lines, they'd probably get along pretty well. though with the hidden dislike of james ending up with lily, perhaps their friendship falls apart? it'd be quite hard watching the girl that you had feelings for, with a different guy other than yourself, right? so maybe good friends that drift towards no talking terms?

haha it sounds like colin following harry around xD i think he should follow the marauders around sometimes, hoping that their admiration will rub off onto him? i can imagine him perhaps being the reason some plans don't work out. like if he followed them into the forbidden forest without them knowing and did a ridiculous spell that drew attention to the group thus resulting in detention? i just see him doing stupid things that would get the marauders in trouble. haha. i believe james would find gilderoy to be a little weird and tries to avoid gilderoy at all costs. =P
